About Dr. Etzel
Kendra Etzel, Naturopathic Medical Doctor, is a graduate of Bastyr University in San Diego, California. She completed her residency through the Institute of Natural Medicine. Before attending medical school she received a Bachelors in Nutritional Science at Washington State University. She has over 15 years of experience in the medical field and has a true love for helping people achieve optimal health. She specializes in primary care, hormone health for men and women, gastrointestinal, autoimmune and metabolic conditions. She has done additional training in nutrigenomics, hormones and peptides and continues to learn and stay up to date on health. She has worked with organizations including the Vagal Nerve Society, American Nutrition Association and helped many physicians developing personalized training programs and plans for patients. Being a naturopathic doctor, she believes in combining the latest research with natural therapies to get to the root cause of illness and deliver the best in individualized medicine. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, spending time on the beach, and reading. She can’t wait to meet you and help you achieve your health goals.
Her Story
At 24 she found herself struggling with anxiety, depression, acne, hot flashes, hormone issues and on multiple medications and not getting relief. She was told more medication was the only thing to help. In that moment she realized she had to approach her health and medicine in a different way. She knows what its like to not feel validated, not listened to. She knew deep down there was something wrong with her hormones but my doctor wouldnt listen to me and wouldnt even test me. This turned out to be the best thing to ever happen to her...In her desperation she saw a naturopathic doctor and this forever changed her life. She realized she didnt want to be a conventional medical doctor anymore like planned. She wanted to get to the root cause of what was going on and help others do the same.
